The Lakers used their amnesty on Metta World Peace aka Ron Artest last night, and the Knicks now could be an option for next season!
Teams with room under the salary cap have 48 hours to try and pick up World Peace. If no team with cap space tries to claim World Peace, he becomes an unrestricted free agent. The Knicks, according to a league source, will have interest in World Peace if he makes it through waivers. "Let's hope he'll be able to come home," World Peace's father, Ron Artest Sr., told ESPNNewYork.com's Jared Zwerling on Thursday night.
