If you're looking to grab a slice in the area of Northern Boulevard, you'll have to look elsewhere. Apparently the I Love NY Pizza location Loudon Plaza has closed permanently. A message on the pizza shop's website confirms they shut down last Friday:
We would like to Thank all of our great and loyal customers for supporting us for the last 17 years! Unfortunately time will dictate our struggles. As of Friday August 11, 2023 we will be forced to close our doors permanently. Once again Thank you for your support through out the years.
News 10 spoke to owner Zef Boga, who said business isn't where it was before the pandemic.
It wasn’t the same anymore. Prices were going up with my merchandise and just keeping the doors open.
Boga told the news outlet that he won't be reopening the pizza shop and will look for another job.
The closing of the Northern Boulevard location is not expected to impact the other I Love NY shops.
