The Weeknd is not only known for being super talented but also for being very dedicated to humanitarian causes.

Over the past week, he cancelled an album release concert so he could focus on the community relief efforts. He put the following on his social media - 

“Out of respect and concern for the people of Los Angeles County, i am canceling the Rose Bowl concert originally scheduled for January 25th,”

“This city has always been a profound source of inspiration for me, and my thoughts are with everyone impacted during this difficult time. In light of this, i have also decided to push the release of my album to January 31st. My focus remains on supporting the recovery of these communities and aiding its incredible people as they rebuild.”

He also just recently made a $1 Million donation to help the LAFD Foundation that will go towards helping with the devastation in both the Palisades and Eaton, GoFundMe's Wildlife Relief Fund, and the LA Regional Food Bank. The money will help not only the firefighters but also, displaced residents and affected families.

Let me start by saying that Method Man has not been arrested or charged due to these accusations. With that said, here's the story.....

Meth is being accused of assaulting his daughters Cheyenne's ex boyfriend at Crunch Fitness in Staten Island. The alleged assault was reported by the NY Post yesterday (Thursday the 16th) claiming that the Wu-Tang member punched 28 year old Patrick Sokoya in the face several times. 

While Sokoya reported feeling pain in his face and feeling dizzy, he refused medical attention. The story is that there was a complaint filed with the NYPD but Method Man was not arrested.

Method Man's attorney said in a statement - 

“Mr. Smith categorically denies the allegations as reported and has not been the subject of any arrest by any law enforcement agency,”

That's the story. At the moment, it seems like the classic "he said, he said" situation. There's been no video released showing the alleged assault at the time of me posting this so it's Sokoya's word against Method Man's.

It was Christmas Eve and Post Malone stopped by The Railyard Bar in Houston, Texas for a few drinks with friends. One of those friends happened to be Shaboozey, by the way. Little did Renee Brown, the bartender that night, know that Post stopping by would change her life. You see, Renee is a single mom to a 9 year old daughter and she wasn't feeling very jolly being that she had to work on Christmas Eve. She would've preferred being home with her daughter.

When it was time for Post and friends to finally head out after drinking for quite some time, Post delivered what Renee would consider a "Christmas miracle". Post Malone left her a $20,000 tip which Brown says changed her life during a very difficult time. Renee said about the generous tip - 

"This put me in a position to at least be able to get a way back and forth to work and pay up on rent and save a bit. I’m trying to save up to start a business, so I don’t have to continue working two jobs and be able to spend more time with my daughter."

She also said that Malone was the "most humble, personable celebrity" that she's ever encountered. 

Salute to you Post Malone for being a generous, caring and kind human being. Stories like this show you that not everyone out there only thinks about themselves and also that not all celebrities are selfish, egotistical people that only care about themselves.

Young Noble from the "Outlawz" released a brand new diss track aimed directly at Nas.

Why, you ask? It's all stemming back to old beef between Nas, 2Pac and The Outlawz. At least that's what I can gather from all of this. The song, which is over 7 minutes long, talks about the infamous Jay-Z beef, his history with 2Pac and a lot more.

One of  the lines that stood out when he was talking about the Jay beef was - 

“Nas, listen, you lost your last battle to Jay / Must I remind you, he fucked your baby mama / He dissed you then signed you, n-gga,” 

Then there's the line about how Young Noble claims that Nas is "lying' about an encounter that he had with Pac and his crew - 

“When we seen you in that park, we was 40 deep / It was over right there, ‘Pac let you breath […] Lying, talking about you turned ‘Pac onto Hennessy / He ain’t here to vouch so I’m riding on his frenemies.”

Noble also pops off about Nas' ex-wife and his family as well. 

As of now, Nas hasn't responded to the track. Will he? Possibly? At the same time, Nas may not feel that he needs to respond to the song considering most of us aren't really sure who Young Noble actually is.

I guess we'll find out what Nas decides soon enough.

Eminem is very outspoken when it comes to The Grammy's but that didn't stop him from making a very bold statement about this year's award show.

Em was talking with DJ Whoo Kid and said this about what he thinks will happen this year at The Grammy's - 

“I mean, it’s very stiff competition,”

“Kendrick’s gonna sweep that s—. He’s going to, and he should.”

It seems crazy for him to even say that he think Kendrick will sweep the awards this year considering Em is nominated for a number of Grammy's himself. Marshall has 4 nominations while Kendrick leads all artists with 7. The two will go head to head in a few of the categories but it's pretty clear who Eminem thinks should win The Grammy.

Clearly Shady is a big fan and supporter of Kendrick. That admiration is not one sided what so ever. Kendrick has shown his love for Eminem on a number of occasions as well. Back in 2016, Kendrick had this to say about the first time he heard Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP" - 

“The day I heard The Marshall Mathers LP, I was just like, ‘How does that work? What is he doing?’”

He followed that up by saying that Em's impeccable timing and delivery became the blueprint for his growth as an artist.

So, will Em's prediction come true at The Grammy's? We'll have to wait and see, but no matter who takes home the awards, one thing is for sure. Hip Hop will be front and center at this years Grammy's and I for one am here for all of it!

There are some rumors floating around that we may be getting a joint, full length, album from Eminem and 50 Cent!

The 2 hip hop legends have dropped a few subtle hints that they could be getting back in the studio together to bless the world with an album. They both appeared recently on the song "Gunz N Smoke" which is on the new Snoop Dogg "Missionary" album. Plus we can't forget the song "Patiently Waiting" which was on 50's debut album "Get Rich or Die Tryin".

Keep in mind that neither has actually come out and said that this is happening. However, 50 did say -

"Looks like I’ll be back in the booth after all! Just gotta do this residency in Vegas first"

Now, does that mean that he's going to work on an album with Eminem? No, but it is certainly adding fuel to the fire that is this rumor.

Eminem has been asked about working on a project with 50 in the future and he said - 

"I would never say it's not possible."

So could this all be wishful thinking? Yes, that is certainly possible! Would it be amazing if the two were able to figure it out and give us a gem of an album? Also yes!

So let's put it out in the Universe that we would love a 50 Cent and Eminem album in 2025!

For some reason, Kim Kardashian thought that we needed an updated version of "Santa Baby" so she gave us this odd and slightly disturbing video.

Apparently it was produced by Travis Barker. Aside from the fact that Kim has told us all that she can't sing, the weird "elves" in the video and Kim crawling around on her hands and knees during the video. There's also a surprise appearance from Macaulay Culkin, who plays the roll of Santa. Oh and he's also the guy behind the wonderful camera work throughout the video.

So, just in case you haven't been in the Holiday spirit, allow me to show you this video which will immediately change that feeling for you. After watching this masterpiece, you'll be ready to spend the day with family and loved ones, exchange gifts and be full of Holiday cheer!

If there's one thing that rap fans want for the holidays, it's a beef between Lil Wayne and Kendrick Lamar!

We're all aware of what was said when Kendrick was announced as this years performer during the Super Bowl Half Time show, which is being held in Weezy's hometown of New Orleans. Was Wayne disappointed? Yes. Were fans upset? Yes! Are things out of their control when it come to decisions that are made? Also, yes. 

As much as fans would like it, there doesn't seem to be any hard feelings between the two rappers. Apparently the two had a conversation and Wayne wished K. Dot success and told him to "kill it" at the Super Bowl! The two also discussed Kendrick's lyrics that seemed to be aimed at Wayne. Wayne took those lyrics as a sign of admiration and Kendrick's understanding of the situation. 

The one thing that has fans confused is this new "diss track" that has come out. While it does sound like Lil Wayne going super hard at Kendrick, the track is actually A.I. generated. It is NOT really Lil Wayne.

Daniel Brundage is an up and coming rapper from Amsterdam that goes by the name "Nardo SIX". One of his biggest influences was the late Juice WRLD.

While Juice WRLD may no longer be with us, there are plenty of tracks still coming out that he recorded before he passed away. Brundage was fortunate to be able to actually buy one of those tracks which was called "All In"

Brundage told NEWS10 ABC - 

“It was already a song that Juice WRLD had made that he already prerecorded and then they had a beat set for it.”

For $2500, Brundage was able to get his hands on the verse, laid his own lyrics down as well and now the song is called "Ballin".

When it came to Daniel writing his verse, he wasn't exactly sure what he should do but he was able to find the inspiration he needed - 

“I was listening to a lyric that most people had never heard and I was like, ‘Man, what should I write?’ And I hear him. He’s like, ‘Man, just write whatever you want. It’s all on you.'”

After all was said and done, this is the final product!

Drake was feeling some type of way over the weekend when he decided to call out some of his former friends who seemingly bailed on him during his beef with Kendrick Lamar.

Drizzy pulled up to the Nostalgia party in Toronto ready to have some fun, and even grabbed the mic at one point. If you're wondering what he had to say to the crowd then clearly you didn't read the headline of this article or even the first line that I wrote.

While he didn't mention anyone by name, it's safe to say that he's talking about his issues with Future, The Weeknd, Kendrick and I'm sure a few others.

"My real friends are definitely in the building. But I'm going to tell you. You're going to come to a point in life where people you thought were friends or people you thought were close to you, they might switch up. They might try to move funny with you. They might stab you in the back, they might do a lot of things to you. You'll come to that realization, wherever you're at in life. You've probably been there and you'll be there again, that's how life is. But look, sometimes, it's you and you alone by yourself. Sometimes it's you alone with your thoughts." 

What's crazy, is when you listen to the video that's below, you'll notice that there are quite a few people that don't seem to have any interest in what Drake is saying on the mic. You would think that when someone like him gets on stage, grabs a mic and starts talking, that the crowd might quiet down and listen to what he has to say but apparently that wasn't the case this time.

Marshall Mathers has had one amazing 2024!

He brought back his Slim Shady persona and released his 1st album since 2020 - "The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).

He had a #1 song on the radio with "Houdini"! He broke some streaming records. He got to walk his daughter Hailie down the isle at her wedding.

And now, with the release of his video for "Temporary" (which dropped yesterday), he let the World know that he's going to be a grandfather!

A massive congratulations to both Em and Hailie (and the father of the child as well).

UPDATE - We now have confirmation that the rumor started by Wack 100, that Drake had a cease and desist sent to Kendrick Lamar, is NOT TRUE. Drake's rep told Rolling Stone - 

 that the rumor is “not true,” with another source clarifying that “there was never any intention or plan to send a cease and desist to anyone.”

In the past Wack 100 has made some pretty insane claims and he's at it once again.

This time he's saying that Drake has issued a cease and desist to Kendrick Lamar which would not allow him to perform "Not Like Us" during the Halftime Show at this years Super Bowl.

Wack 100 also added - 

“He’s trying to get the NFL to restrict Kendrick,”

While Wack wouldn't say where he got the information from, neither Drake or Kendrick have mentioned it publicly as of yet.

The Fat Joe concert that was scheduled to be happening in November at Empire Live has unfortunately been cancelled.

We got word a little while ago from the promoter -

 "Due to unforeseen circumstances Fat Joe is cancelled. Refunds can be made at the point of purchase"

So if you have tickets to the show, you'll need to either go back to where you purchased them or contact the site that you purchased them from. 

We apologize for this unfortunate situation but if we are able get Joey Crack back to The Cap City, we will!

The history between Usher and Diddy is well documented. There are plenty of clips all over the internet of the two together when Usher was very young and Diddy at one point said that he was Usher's "guardian".

Well, now that there is a boat load of information coming out about Diddy and what was taking place at his parties, there are things that are starting to make a lot of people ask a number of questions. Things like "what was their relationship really about?" or "what exactly was going on with Diddy and Usher at such a young age?" The same goes for the questions about Justin Bieber and Diddy.

With all of that said, yesterday, all of Usher's Tweets suddenly disappeared. His entire "X" profile was totally clear. Now Usher is claiming that he was hacked and it appears that all of his posts are now back but who knows. The timing of it all was very convenient.

Another account that seems to have been wiped clean is Pink's. There are just 2 posts on her account now, one from 2016 and one from 2017. Was she hacked as well? Did she remove her posts because of the whole Diddy situation? It's hard to tell at this point but again, it's all just very convenient.

UPDATED AT 11:45AM ON 9/18

Diddy is still trying to get a deal cut so he can be released on bail. His legal team has offered that the security team that works at Diddy's Miami home would turn over the visitors log on a daily basis to the feds. They are also saying that visitors will be limited to family, property care-takers and friends who are not co-conspirators in the federal case. Diddy has also made the claim that he would limit female visitors to his family members or mother's of his children.

UPDATED AT 4:36PM

Diddy's lawyer tried to claim that Diddy is not a bully or brute and seems to try and make the case that there was more to the story with "Victim One" assumed to be Cassie. I'm sure you've seen the security footage of Diddy in the hallway in a towel, seemingly beating her pretty bad. The lawyer claimed that she was going through Diddy's phone and found out that he had more than one girlfriend and that she hit him with a cell phone and took his clothing (which explains why Diddy was in a towel). The lawyer also made the claim that she had cheated on Diddy with a personal trainer that Diddy provided for her. Just so we're clear here, that still doesn't excuse the beating that we all saw on the security footage.

Once all was said and done, however, the judge denied bail and Diddy will remain in custody.

UPDATED AT 3:50PM

Diddy pled "not guilty" to all the charges he's facing, which was expected. The prosecution is laying out their case as to why they want him held with no bail/bond. They are claiming that they are afraid that he will "intimidate" witnesses or will try to obstruct the investigation. The feds are saying that many of the people that came forward were scared of Diddy trying to interfere. They're also concerned with him being a flight risk considering he has the money and means to leave the Country. They're also saying that there were narcotics found in his hotel room when he was arrested. Allegedly there was a "pink powder" found that had previously tested positive for Ecstasy.

With Diddy facing a max of 15 years in prison if he's convicted, they claim that he's a flight risk and are asking for NO BAIL be set for the man that created Bad Boy.

Diddy's side proposed a $50 Million package to secure his release on bail. It's said that Diddy would put up his $48 Million home in Miami and his mother's home which is worth $2 Million as collateral He's also willing to wear a GPS monitor and his travel would be limited to Florida, New Jersey and New York.

Diddy has been indicted on 3 charges - sex trafficking, racketeering and kidnapping

From the indictment, which ranges from 2008 to the present, TMZ said this - 

Members of the Combs enterprise allegedly engaged in sex trafficking, forced labor, interstate transportation for purposes of prostitution, coercion and enticement to engage in prostitution, narcotics offenses, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.

Also from the indictment, they detailed what was seized during the raids of his Miami and Beverly Hills homes - 

various freak off supplies, including narcotics and more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant They also seized firearms, including 3 AR-15's with defaced serial numbers and a drum magazine.

Diddy is due in court this am.

Diddy was taken into federal custody last night in New York City. 

The story is that Homeland Security came to the midtown hotel that Diddy was staying at and made the arrest. His arrest, we believe, is in connection to the ongoing criminal investigation involving him and alleged sex trafficking allegations along with other offenses as well. If you remember, this is the investigation that led to search warrants being executed at Diddy's homes in Beverly Hills and Miami. Over the past few months, a grand jury has been hearing testimony from a number of accusers. 

Diddy's attorney told TMZ - 

"We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Sean “Diddy” Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community."

He also followed that up with - 

"He is an imperfect person but is not criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court."

U.S. Attorney Damian Williams has said that Diddy was taken into custody based on a sealed indictment that was filed in the Southern District of New York.

This story is still developing and when we know more we will update you on what we find out.

By now I'm sure we're all aware that Kendrick Lamar will be performing for The Halftime Show at The Super Bowl in New Orleans.

I'm also pretty sure that we all know about the backlash that came following that decision. From Master P. to Nicki Minaj not too mention all the fans that were upset by the decision. 

And now, Lil Wayne has broken his silence regarding the situation as well! "It hurt, a lot" is what Wayne said about not being asked to do the show. He's also disappointed in himself for not being mentally prepared for this to have happened.

While there are a number of people that are fully on board with the choice, there are also plenty of people that completely disagree with the choice! I'm not just talking about fans, there are a number of artists that have spoken up with their displeasure with the Kendrick choice.

From Nicki Minaj, to Master P, Boozie Badazz, just to name a few, have come out against the choice. All feel that Lil Wayne, who's actually from New Orleans, should be the one who takes the stage in front of the World at The Super Bowl. And if we're being real here, they have a great argument! 

What Lil Wayne has done for hip hop and for the city of New Orleans goes without saying. The man is a legend and in some circles, considered the greatest to ever do it! Without question the man deserves to be on that stage, in his city, doing what he does best!

With that said, there are also people backing the decision to have K-Dot perform this year! 

Jay-Z gave his reasoning for choosing Kendrick - 

“Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer,

“His deep love for Hip-Hop and culture informs his artistic vision. He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture globally. Kendrick’s work transcends music, and his impact will be felt for years to come.”

Fabolous seems to be backing the decision as well. Also saying that this is not on solely on Jay-Z

While the decision has been made and announced, IF the parties involved want to make this all good, they need to make Wayne a part of this show. In some way, Lil Wayne needs to be a part of this performance. I don't know what that involves or how it would work but it needs to be done!

The last time we saw Eminem open the VMA's was back in 2010 with a performance of "Not Afraid" and then brought Rihanna out to perform "Love The Way You Lie".

That all changes this Wednesday when, once again, Marshall will kick off the 2024 VMA's at 8pm at the UBS Arena in NYC! On top oh his performance, he is also nominated for 8 VMA's. If he manages to take home just 1 Moon Man this year, it will put him at the top of the list for most VMA wins for any male artist in the show's history. He is currently tied with Peter Gabriel with 13 awards. 

Eminem's "Houdini" is nominated for Video of The Year, Song of The Summer, Best Direction and more! His 8 nominations also puts him in a category with just one other artist, Madonna. He now has 67 total VMA nominations, landing him in 2nd place all time to Madonna's 71 nominations.

It would seem that we've reached the point in Kanye West's life where we blame him for everything and once you read this story, you'll understand why I say that.

A woman in Kentucky was arrested on Friday morning for allegedly trying to get into random cars that were in a parking lot. The woman, Ricki Smith, was seen walking from car to car trying to open the doors. Once she found one that was unlocked, she got into the cars driver's seat. A witness claims that he saw her and told her to leave. The witness also claims that Smith also got into another car once she saw the woman get out and walk towards a store. Turns out that there was a child in the back seat of that car. The mother of that child and owner of that car says that she plans on pressing charges.

Now the story that Smith gave police is that, she was traveling from Louisville to Evansville when her car broke down. She claims that she hitchhiked the rest of the way. 

And here's where the story gets a bit strange. Smith claims that Kanye West speaks to her "telegraphically" and he told her to steal the car. I'm guessing that she actually meant that Kanye speaks to her "telepathically" and not by using a telegraph. It's my understanding that a telegraph was what they used to communicate back in the days of the Wild West. You know, this thing - 

Anyway, Smith was taken into custody and upon further investigation police found that Smith had actually wrecked her car in the tree line along Highway 64 which is why she abandoned her vehicle. 

Needless to say, if Kanye talks to you either telepathically or telegraphically and tells you to steal a car, don't do it.

The hip hop community is mourning the loss of the legendary party rocker Fatman Scoop. 

He was headlining the "Green and Gold Party" in Hamden Ct. last night when he suffered a medical emergency on stage. As he was hyping up the crowd he stepped up to the DJ setup and then collapsed. 

There are videos of him collapsing online but out of respect for Scoop and his loved ones, we will not be posting that.

Fatman Scoop has been a member of the JAMZ 96.3 family for a quite some time along with DJ Mr. Vince! Their "Full Throttle" show has been a staple on Friday nights in The Cap City with the station and we are at a complete loss. We would all like to express our most heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

If you've been to any party or club, ever, then you know exactly who Fatman Scoop is. His voice is unmistakable! He was the ultimate hype man and knew exactly how to get any crowd going. 

Our "Back in The Day Labor Day Weekend" will now be dedicated to our beloved JAMZ fam member!

One of Nicki's "Barbs", Tameer Peak, is claiming that she has outright attacked him on social media for quite some time and he's had enough. He filed a $5 Million lawsuit against her, claiming reputational harm, emotional distress and financial loss.

Tameer has been following Nicki on social media for around 15 years but he claims that back in 2017 things took a turn for the worse and became very personal. That's when, according to the lawsuit, Nicki went on her "Nicki hate train" phase and accused some of her fans of being moles that were sent to derail her career. Tameer being one of those fans that she accused. 

He says that at one point she invited him to her hotel room to film and embarrass him in on and IG live in front of her followers. Other claims in the suit say that he was mistreated during a 2020 Super Bowl event, she has targeted him on her X, and also saying that he was "one sandwich short of a picnic" and implied that he was on welfare. Nicki allegedly also labeled him as a "stalker" who has impersonated members of her team. 

Nicki's lawyer, Judd Burstein, released a statement to TMZ.com saying - 

“Mr. Peak has been harassing Nicki on social media for years on end to no avail."
