UPDATED: Looks like Hattie's will be opening it's doors to their new location in Albany some time in either February or March of 2024! The State Liquor Authority database shows that their liquor license is expected to be decided in January.
Originally Hattie's was hoping to open their Albany location in the Spring or Summer of 2022, which didn't happen. They're hoping for a Fall of this year opening and yesterday they took another step closer to that happening.
For decades the legendary Lombardo's lit up Madison Ave. but now that has been replaced by the Hattie's Restaurant sign.

This will be Hattie's 4th location in The Capital Region. Downtown Saratoga Springs, Wilton, At The Track and now Albany!
It's rare that you can replace a historic business with another historic business but that's exactly what's happening with the old Lombardo's building. Hattie's has been in business since 1939. Now their award winning fried chicken will be available in Downtown Albany.
