Unexpected: Irv Gotti Suddenly Dies At 54 Years Old

We are saddened to hear about the passing of Irv Gotti, the founder of Murder Inc., at the age of 54.
Gotti is the person responsible for bringing us artists like Ashanti, Lloyd, Christina Milian, Ja Rule, and was the man responsible for signing DMX! He also had a hand in producing songs like "Holla Holla" from Ja Rule, "Can I Get A" from Jay-Z, "What's My Name" from DMX, "Between Me and You" from Ja Rule and Christina Milian, "What's Luv" from Fat Joe feat. Ashanti, "Foolish" from Ashanti, he was the executive producer on "It's Dark and Hell is Hot" (DMX's first studio album), along with so much more!
While no cause of death has been confirmed as of yet, it's believed that Gotti did suffer a stroke in 2024 due to diabetes complications.
His passing has been confirmed by his family as well as Def Jam Recordings (parent company to Murder Inc.)
Irv's family released the following statement -
"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Irving 'Irv Gotti' Lorenzo, on February 5, 2025. Surrounded by family and friends, he departed this world, leaving behind a legacy that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him and the countless lives he touched."
