Recently there has been a nationwide shortage of volunteers to work at polling places, so a group of organizations formed 'Vet the Vote' to recruit Veterans to serve as poll workers. In 2022 there was a deficit of 130,000 poll workers, and this year Vet the Vote has recruited more than 163,000 Veterans to help! Read more about the campaign here! (Good News Network)


The FTC has created a new rule banning fake online reviews including AI-generated reviews, reviews from people who didn't use it, reviews that the seller know are fake, reviews that they paid someone to leave and more, and prevents negative reviews from being deleted or removed. A new coating discovered by German scientists could extend the life of zinc-ion batteries more than 100-fold, which means they could replace lithium-ion batteries in many use cases. Zinc is cheaper, safer, more abundant than lithium and these batteries could last longer than lithium-ion. Read more about it here! (Good News Network)
