Albany Has Opened Up Housing For Homeless Vets
A new housing unit for homeless veterans, the Clinton Avenue Veterans Apartments, opened in Albany with six supportive housing units. The project, costing $1.8 million, involved renovating two row houses to create one-bedroom apartments. Funding came from the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, a U.S. Housing and Urban Development HOME grant, and Trustco Bank. The Department of Veterans Services assisted in furnishing the apartments.
